The Gallery

Most of the pictures in the gallery may be enlarged by clicking on them. If you have an interesting Peerless or Warwick picture I would be very happy to display it here.

This is my latest project, the Warwick GT 350 one of only two that I am aware of on the planet. I hope to have the car ready for late next year (2005). The engine is an original Buick 3.5 litre. Note the deep suspension cradle and the 1.5 inch square tubes from the bulkhead to the turrets, these are the hallmarks of a genuine Warwick GT 350.

Here we see one of our very active German Members, Klaus Murthum with his friend on a Night Rally (2001) Click the picture to enlarge it.

A very famous car indeed in the TR Register circle, this is Jade Dearing's
Rover V8 Peerless.

Peter Spiro

Joe Spiro is now the proud owner of his Grandfathers (Peter Spiro) Warwick. The car has been in regular use by the Spiro family since 1964 !

Here we see Leslie Williams reunited with a fully restored car that he had owned many years before. The car now resides in Sweden.

Here is David Beckett's phase 2 Peerless with a very popular modification in the form of side air vents. This helps to reduce engine bay air pressure and hence stop the bonnet from lifting as well as keeping things cooler though recent experiments with the John Bolster Warwick (ex 75 RBH) show that this can increase gearbox temperatures as less air is forced down the transmission tunnel.

Mr Fisher's phase 2 Peerless had the honour of staring in the George Best movie. The filming of which took place on the Isle of Man.

Here we see Paul Milsom's Peerless in the late 1960's looking very neglected indeed. I'm glad to say that the car is now fully restored.

This car also journeyed to Le Mans in 1998

Phase 1 Peerless GT

This is a good example of a fairly original phase 1 Peerless produced around 1958/9. This was one of the seven cars which made the journey to Le Mans in 1998 (see the Le Mans Page for details of the 1958 race and the pilgrimage 40 years later).

 Phase 2 Peerless GT

Notice the subtle changes in appearance, the recessed headlights, the bonnet scoop. This car was also one of the seven which took part in the 40th anniversary celebrations.

(Warwick GT formely 75 RBH)

Again only on close inspection (enlarge the image if you wish by clicking on it) do you notice that the small hatch style bonnet has been replaced by a complete tilting front end (similar to the triumph spitfire or herald). Also, fins have been added to the roof edges to improve rigidity and provide adequate guttering. (If you have a Netscape Browser, move the mouse over the picture to see it change)

 The 1958 Le Mans Peerless

This is the actual car that won its class and finished 16th overall at the Le Mans 24 hour race in 1958. It is still used on a daily basis and can be seen quite often touring the beautiful Cumbrian countryside. Ken will be taking part in the 50th anniversary celebrations at Le Mans in 2008. He is currently restoring the car back to its original Phase 1 race specification which will include the protruding headlights and Phase 1 headlight rims.

Phase 1 Peerless Show Car

This early phase 1 Peerless (as far as I am aware) was exhibited at several motor shows (including Earls court in 1959), unfortunatly it was almost compleatly destroyed in a road accident in 1967. The driver (Roy Nolan my Father) was very lucky to survive. I still have the majority of the parts needed to re-build the car and time permitting I hope to do so. (If you have a Netscape Browser, move the mouse over the picture to see it change)

  Sadly no more.

 The Prototype Warwick GT

Owned by Alan House (the previous registrar), this is the prototype Warwick , it really is a splendid example with a notable history. This car is registered with the very famous factory number plates 990 ABH which were seen on several prototypes and several factory development cars.

 The John Bolster test car

  Phase 1 Peerless GT

This Peerless has been restored by a member of the register to a condition that many consider to be better than original. If you find yourself at any of the major shows this year it will almost certainly be there so have a look and see just what a Peerless should look like ! (Hi Nigel)

This picture was taken at the famous banked circuit at Weybridge in Surrey. A wide variety of cars attended this event which was organised by the Gordon-Keeble Register as a tribute to British Racing Green.
