1959 Phase 1 Peerless GT

Chassis No GT-00185 Reg No 89 CUP

This car was modifications when it was restored some years ago. It would seem to be a Ph 2 car with Ph 1 doors, bonnet . It has been owned by Ian for the last 40 years.

The chassis seems to be solid in most places. The Chassis tubes across the back of the parcel shelf are flaky but OK. All the front tubes are sound due to the usual engine oil. Engine turns by hand, gearbox is reported to be OK but overdrive was not working. drive shafts need replacing. Last taxed in 1991 and dry stored since. Paint is solid with very little crazing but has micro-blistering to some areas. Interior is complete and sound. Doors need re-hanging bonnet and boot need re fixing to the hinges.

It stands on TR6 wheels and tyres. Non standard headlamp surrounds.
